Deal or no Deal?

Garrett had his 6 month dental cleaning and got a clean bill of health. The dentist told Garrett that after he was done with cleaning his teeth he could pick out one prize from a basket. With his teeth cleaned the dentist hands Garrett a toothbrush and tells him to go pick out his prize and that is when Garrett ask "If I give you my toothbrush can I have two prizes?"

Word Wiz

Today Garrett had School and got to go outside to play. Just seeing him run around with his friends was pure bliss. After School I took Garrett to the store to pick out Valentine greetings for his classmates. (He decided on ones with monkeys on them and heart lollipops). Garrett really wanted a toy at the store even after I told what we were there to buy. I understand that its the age and his way of testing me so I let it go and we left. Still when we got home he continues to talk about the toy I did not buy him and he says "I'm grumpy!" When I tell him that he should be thankful for what he has and to this Garrett tells me that I frustrate him! (I frustrate him!) The best is when I start rambling on about graciousness and what that means and he speaks up and says "Stop antagonizing me!" I just about fell out of my seat on that one:) Instead of being frustrated, I laughed out loud and gave him a big hug and kiss because used such a big vocabulary word! :)

My bunny is missing!

Before Andy left for work he told me Garrett woke him up at 4am screaming.."My bunny is missing!". Garrett was so upset and would not go back to sleep until bunny was found. Andy tells Garrett to go potty then go back to bed while he went to search for the rabbit. 45 minutes later....Still no rabbit. Then, Andy catches something out the corner of his eye...An Ace bandage. Behind his leather sofa in the living room was Bunny completely wrapped up. With Bunny were Barky,D.O.G.,Little Doggy,Puppy Dog,Blueberry,Pineapple & Ice Cream. Garrett was still awake when Andy gives him Bunny and tells him to go back to sleep:)

Proud Swimmer

Tonight Garrett graduated from his first swim class:) He loves to swim and looks forward to swimming all by himself like a big boy. Daddy came to class to watch and take pictures so Garrett was showing him all he knows. A funny thing did happen toward the end of class. Garrett was motioning like he had to use the bathroom so i asked if he could hold it a little longer and that is when he yells out......."I must go potty on the toliet!" At least we made it back in time to get his certificate.

Saving Lives

This morning I took Garrett to the RiverPlex and their open gym. He gets to play with other kids his age and run around, play ball or ride on vehicles. Today he chose to ride the fire truck and tells me "Momma....I am going to save lives!" So I gave my little hero a big kiss and told him how much I would miss him. He then gets on his walkie talkie and is off to fight the fire. He returns and says, "We put all that fire out!"

Rainbow Fish

It was under the sea day at school and Garrett made a rainbow fish. His show & tell item was a blue fish he got out of a cereal box the other day that he named coconut (go figure!). Well, we are off to run errands!

Garrett the Astronaut

Garrett has quite an active imagination and currently demands to be called "Garrett the Astronaut". He named me "Astronaut Mommy", of which I am quite proud. He has swimming lessons tonight and his final lesson this Thursday. Andy has moved to a new office yesterday. His new office is just five miles down the road and he says so far so good. he looks forward to being on new projects and challenges.
